Albertson NY Yellow Pages

Albertson is an unincorporated village home in Nassau County Long Island just east of Searingtown and south of Roslyn. Albertson is known as a residential neighborhood with many families calling the village home. The village was settled in 1644 by a European settler by the name of John Seren that migrated from Connecticut. The village was started with just only a gristmill and a farm, which grew into the village it is today. The village received its name from a landowner, Richard Albertson with the first road being built in 1850 going through the land belonging to Isaac Underhill Willets. In 1864, the first train station came to Albertson via the Long Island Rail Road. Herricks Union Free School District serves Albertson with two elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. One of the most popular attractions is the Clark Botanic Garden offering 12 acres with 12 beautiful gardens, over 5,000 species of plants, and 1,000 trees.
